Barry Uzel,
President and CEO,
National Bank of California

Mr. Uzel graduated from
Whittier College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration
and Economics. He holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from
California State University at Long Beach. Later attending the Graduate
School of Financial Management at Stanford
University. Mr. Uzel has been in the banking business for over 40 years. His career began in 1965 when he joined First Western Bank, which later became Lloyds Bank California, where he spent 18 years. Mr. Uzel has served as President, CEO, and Director of National Bank of California from its inception in 1982.
Actively involved in fund-raising efforts, Barry has served on several Boards throughout Southern California. He currently is Chairman of Presbyterian Health Physicians (an IPA and Health Clinics), and previously he was Chairman of Interhealth Corporation, and it's subsidiary Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital.
Barry is currently on the Board of The Community Bankers of California, and previously he was its President. He has been President of Community Bankers of Southern California, Treasurer of the Board of Governors of the Orange County Chapter and Vice President of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
With his experiences in finance, and health care, Barry is bringing a wealth of knowledge to ensure the financial health of the Healthy Kids Foundation.
