Dennis Swanson, Owner and CEO of LAMPS PLUS
Mr. Swanson founded Lamps Plus with his wife, Manja, more than 30 years ago. Under his leadership, Lamps Plus has become the nation's largest specialty lighting retailer with more than 40 state-of-the-art showrooms throughout the western United States. Lamps Plus now serves more than 2 million customers per year.
Always pioneering new channels to sell his products, Dennis spearheaded the development of the company's e-commerce site,
LampsPlus.com which was launched in 1998. Since then, he has been instrumental in the development of a multi-channel strategy, fully integrating each customer's experience in stores, online and at kiosks located throughout each of the company's superstores.
LampsPlus.com was accredited by Internet Retailer magazine as one of the top 50 online retailing sites in the United States. Mr. Swanson was recently inducted into the esteemed Lightning Hall of Fame at the American Lighting Association's 2006 Annual Conference.
